New Wine, a Christian faith network of local churches, returned to the East of England Arena and Events Centre from July 23 – Aug 7, 2022. The popular faith festival saw thousands of delegates and worshippers gather over the two weeks.
Spread throughout three events over a total of 16 days, the festival transformed the venue making use of all the arena’s indoor and outdoor facilities. Visitors of all ages enjoyed a variety of seminars and workshops with campers gathering from all across the UK. The festival also saw a variety of guest speakers and entertainers for the evening celebrations, including, musical artist Lucy Grimble, slam poet Harry Baker and many more.
Pamela Newbould, head of events at the East of England Arena, said, “New Wine has always been one of the largest events in the venue’s calendar and it is always a pleasure to work with the organisers and attendees. It is always remarkable how they manage to completely transform the site at each event.”
Nicole Hankins, event manager, added “ The last two weeks have been amazing! There has been this beautiful sense of peace and tranquillity across the site as thousands gathered to share their beliefs through prayer, workshops and seminars, as well as enjoy the evening live music and activities.”
