The East of England Arena & Events Centre and Cupids Weddings Shows are celebrating the successful conclusion of another Valentine’s Wedding Show at the Venue, February 19-20.
200 gift bags were handed out to the eligible brides, and exhibitors reported a good rate of bookings from visitors all round. The event, which had its debut at the Arena a few years ago, has proven to be a popular draw even during the pandemic, with lots of restrictions in place. Exhibitors included famous high street retailers and lots of independent boutiques showcasing all kinds of wedding services and products, while the catwalk was kept busy with exhibitor fashion shows all day.
Natalie Siddall, director of Cupids Weddings Shows and organiser of this and several other wedding events around the region, complemented the venue on its management of the event, saying, “The team at the showground were great to work with and offered support before the event and during the day to ensure the event ran smoothly. This is the region’s biggest wedding show and we are so pleased to be back on Sunday 16th October to do it all again! A great day was had by all and Exhibitors went to great efforts to showcase their businesses, stands looked fantastic and resulted in excellent feedback from our visitors, looks of bookings were taken- many happy couples!’
Caitlin Beebe, East of England Arena’s event manager for the show, was delighted with the success of the event saying, “The Cupids team is lovely to work with and the events are always great to be involved in. The show seemed more popular than ever, there was even a queue before the event opened! It was a pleasure to see so many couples planning their weddings after so much uncertainty.”
Beebe concluded, “While Covid is still very much present, we are constantly monitoring and implementing the updated guidance – with signage up to encourage mask-wearing and keeping a safe distance, and lots of hand sanitiser stations – to help keep confidence levels high amongst all our visitors, exhibitors and staff.”
