The Devitt MCN Festival of Motorcycling is set to return to the East of England Arena and Events Centre on May 14th – 15th 2022 and has announced it will be partnering with Silverstone Auctions to bring a live auction to the venue for the first time.
The show, organised by Bauer Media, attracts motorcycle enthusiasts from all across the UK and each year allows visitors to test ride hundreds of the latest bike models and browse discounted equipment to prepare for the bike season. Visitors are also invited to enjoy live entertainment such as races, stunt displays and live music.
Bauer has announced that it has partnered with Silvertone Auctions to bring a live auction of classic and contemporary motorcycles to the show, ranging from pre-war models to modern machinery. The auctions are known for their historic lineups and at the recent auction at the MCN Motorcycle Show, ExCel, London, a vintage 1978 Honda CB400F sold for an amazing £15,975, breaking all previous records for that model.
Pamela Newbould, East of England Arena’s head of events, welcomed the return of this landmark event on the motorcycling calendar, saying, “It’s a pleasure to see this show return to full strength for 2022. The Devitt MCN Festival of Motorcycling has a lot going on simultaneously – motorcyclists on test rides moving around our internal road network, live music on stage, stunt riders, races, camping facilities with hookups, merchants and traders stalls, and a static exhibition of bikes and major bike manufacturers. It’s a tremendously busy and exciting event!”
