The first Futureworx event has concluded at East of England Arena and Events Centre, 30-31 March 2022, welcoming over 600 construction industry experts and decision makers to the venue to learn and discuss important topics to the construction industry, including net-zero, HS2, and the continuing impact of data and technology.
The event is organised by the Construction Equipment Association (CEA), the organisation behind Plantworx, one of the UK’s largest live, working construction events that is also held at the venue.
Simon Frere-Cook, event director, CEA, said, “Futureworx is a conference and exhibition aimed at construction professionals who need to know how technology and innovation will drive sustainability and productivity on the construction site of 2030 and beyond. We brought together expert speakers, presentations, technology exhibits and an evening networking session to create this single, purposeful event addressing the future of the construction industry. The East of England Arena has proved its value to Plantworx making it a natural choice of venue for this important debut event.”
Pamela Newbould, head of events, East of England Arena and Events Centre, congratulated CEA on a successful launch event, saying, “We were happy to be chosen to host Futureworx 2022, and delighted that this inaugural event proved to be such a great success.”
