The build is now in progress for Vertikal Days at the East of England Arena and Events Centre. Billed as Europe’s largest lifting equipment show, Vertikal Days will open on May 11, 2022, following a successful move to the Arena last year.
Vertikal Days 2022 will feature a towering exhibition of cranes, access platforms, telehandlers, and other lifting equipment and accessories, displayed at full height across the venue’s 200 acres of outdoor exhibition space, plus an extensive indoor exhibition where JCB, Briggs, Manitou and other major brands and manufacturers will be represented. The two-day event requires a complex, eight-day build to get the hundreds of exhibits in position.
Approximately 90% of the UK and Ireland’s lifting equipment rental and sales operators will be represented at Vertikal Days, and they represent 80% of all crane and aerial lift purchases in the British Isles, making it an essential event for rental companies, fleet owners, users and lifting professionals. The show regularly attracts over 2,500 business visitors, all keen to check out the latest models ‘in the iron’.
Pamela Penny, Organiser for Vertikal Days, explained why Vertikal Days chose to return to East of England Arena, saying, “The two most important factors in our choice were East of England Arena’s extensive exhibition space which is free of height restrictions, and its close proximity to trunk roads and motorways. The outdoor venue space is perfect for displaying heavy plant and machinery, with hard standing, internal roadways and network access throughout. This simplifies the logistical challenge of getting hundreds of cranes and lifting machines in the right place at the right time. Last year the venue team was excellent, and visitor feedback was very positive, so rebooking was a relatively straightforward decision.”
Pamela Newbould, head of events, East of England Arena, welcomed the show back to the venue saying, “After the success of Vertikal Days at the arena in 2021, where attendance reached a new record for the event, I’m delighted to welcome the show back for another year.”
