East of England Arena welcomes new Event Manager

The East of England Arena and Events Centre is pleased to announce that Georgie Chappell has joined the team as the Arena’s new event manager.

As an event manager, Chappell’s role will be supporting and liaising with event organisers to ensure the smooth delivery of their shows, reporting to the Arena’s senior event manager, Nicole Hankins.

Chappell previously worked in community care as a care coordinator, but has had a lifelong interest in events, as she explained, “My dad was a hotelier, and I’ve grown up with events and functions all around me, so I was really drawn to the role – I’ve always been a bit of an event manager at home, and it’s something I do really enjoy. I’m looking forward to getting on and learning all about the venue and meeting our wonderful clients.”

Pamela Newbould, head of events, East of England Arena, said, “I’m delighted to welcome Georgie to the team, as she has lots of enthusiasm, great client facing skills and will I’m sure make a great event manager with her history in hospitality and functions.”
