The East of England Arena and Events Centre will be lighting the exterior of the arena building with blue and yellow tonight, to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and following the example of Peterborough Cathedral which has been lit up in the national colours of Ukraine this last week. At the weekend landmarks across the world have been similarly illuminated, including Nelson’s Column, the Colosseum, and The Empire State Building.
Lee Sharp, managing director, East of England Arena, said, “The world is showing its support for and solidarity with the people of Ukraine at this distressing time. There are many Ukrainians living in the UK, and we have them in our thoughts too as darkness falls tonight.”
