The East of England Arena and Events Centre is celebrating the successful conclusion of the National Motorhome and Campervan Show, organised by Warners Shows, last weekend June 11-13, 2021 with the organiser reporting the largest day gate in 10 years. The event attracted nearly 4000 simultaneous visitors on the Saturday and a total of 9000 visitors over the three days, including on-site camping and taking in the festival atmosphere.

Happy Shoppers at the showIn addition to the many new and used campervans and motorhomes on display, visitors were able shop for supplies and accessories from the many traders represented at the show. The event complied with the All-Secure Standard developed by the event industry to keep events open during the pandemic and, as has become customary at the venue over the covid period, the show was hosted with the support and collaboration of local public health and local government.

Sally Dodds, head of events at Warners Shows, said, “Our show, on the cusp of the touring season, is important for the dealers and interest in domestic tourism is soaring at the moment, so I’m delighted that the event was so well attended. The East of England Arena team helped deliver a covid-safe event without requiring us to seriously compromise the show. Its carefully developed covid protocols and experience have been invaluable to the success of every event we have held here during the pandemic.”

Pamela Newbould, senior event manager, East of England Arena, added, “It was a great pleasure to welcome the National Motorhome and Campervan Show back to the venue. As always the organisation by Warners Shows was matchless and all the visitors were brilliant in their observation of the social distancing measures required.”
