Bill Bailey, the comedy genius and star of stage screen and TV, delighted the whole audience at the East of England Arena on Wednesday evening, May 4, 2022, with his trademark blend of surreal humour punctuated with hilarious musical accompaniment, and singing in many languages. Bailey was even spotted around Peterborough earlier in the day, taking selfies with the event signage. All in all, 4870 comedy fans and guests enjoyed the event, out of a capacity of 5000 for The Arena.

The tour, written and conceived before anyone had even heard of Covid promised ‘a funny, heartwarming mix of stories, music and history, but a personal mission to find our way through these strange times’ and, by all accounts, last night’s show delivered on all fronts.
Nicole Hankins, senior event manager, East of England Arena, said, “Bill Bailey is a great talent in comedy and music, and the venue was buzzing with excitement leading up to the show. Despite the long postponement, we welcomed a capacity crowd to the Arena, and the show was just superb.”
