Members from the Institution of Agricultural Engineers came together at the East of England Arena and Events Centres on November 1st, 2022, for the charity’s first in-person IAgrE Landwards Conference since 2019.
Presented by practitioners, academics and industry experts, the conference programme explored the theme of ‘Engineering Sustainability in Agriculture’ – taking delegates through developments in the industry, environmental opportunities and challenges facing farmers, and ways to build a sustainable future.
The industry-leading speakers addressed delegates on a range of important topics and solutions, including Paula Misiewicz, senior lecturer in Soil and Water Management, Harper Adams University, who shared her research on soil management; and insights from Agrointelli’s founder, Ole Greenhowby, into how mechanisation can sustainably improve efficiency.
Renay-Nicole Kenton, event manager at the East of England Arena, said, “The Institution of Agricultural Engineers’ first Landwards Conference was a success and it’s great to see it back this year even stronger. The lineup of speakers was deeply insightful, giving delegates plenty of food for thought.”
