Stephanie Weightman’s award-winning show, Crafting Live, brought its creative flair to the East of England Arena and Event Centre, welcoming 8500 visitors to the venue on October 21-22, 2022.
The weekend saw thousands of crafters stocking up on craft supplies and kits, including the well-received ‘Create and Craft’ bags. Throughout the show, crafters could find inspiration and learn new skills at any of the live demos and workshops, all hosted for free by well-known crafters and business owners.
Renay-Nicole Kenton, events manager, East of England Arena, said, “Both days had a great turnout from the public and the visitors appreciated being able to meet Stephanie and other members of the team – it really set the feeling of community.”
Kenton concluded, “My highlight of the weekend was seeing visitors excitedly lining up to get into the event and start crafting with their friends. It was lovely to see people bond over a shared passion and all the creativity that came from that.”
Zoe Anslow, event organiser, Highlight Crafts, said, “Visitors greatly enjoyed their day, so much so that many returned on the second! Seeing the joy of our attendees is always the highlight of the event; our customers are the most important thing to us and knowing they were happy is the best feeling.”
“The East of England Arena staff were professional as always and we look forward to working with them again on 13 – 14 October 2023, for another great weekend of crafty fun!” Anslow concluded.
