East of England Arena

Make sure Christmas can happen.

Following the announcement of the government’s Plan B and after receiving further information we are pleased to say that all Christmas events will be going ahead as planned, although there may be a few additional requirements to keep us all safe.

As we move into our busy festive period we wanted to let you know that the team at the East of England Arena has been working hard to make sure that attending any event at the venue is COVID secure, and we’re asking all our guests to be responsible and follow guidance outlined below.

Contactless entry.

All visitors will need to have their COVID Pass available on arrival, we will be checking these in line with new government guidelines:

Please ensure you have downloaded the NHS app – for details on how to do this visit the link below: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/covid-pass/

To get your COVID Pass on the NHS app you will need to:

  • Have been double vaccinated or;
  • Have proof of natural immunity (180 days after a positive PCR test) or;
  • Have proof of a negative PCR or Lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of the event
  • Please do not attend if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days

On arrival, please:

  • Be ready to show your COVID Pass
  • Use the hand sanitiser provided at the entrance
  • Arrive wearing your face mask or face covering (unless exempt)

During your party or event and in line with government guidance:

You do not need to wear your mask when you are drinking, dining or dancing!
Please wear your mask when walking to the toilet, around the venue, or any other time you feel comfortable doing so.

To reduce personal contact as much as possible we continue to encourage contactless payments, and in line with government guidelines, we will:

  • Provide the optimum amount of fresh air into our rooms, with all our mechanical ventilation systems being fresh air and no recycled air.
  • Supplement this with natural ventilation through the opening of windows where required.
  • Ensure enhanced cleaning is in place for our toilet facilities.
  • Ensure that hand sanitiser is available on your tables, in toilets and at the bar.

All staff working at the East of England Arena will have taken a lateral flow test each day prior to the event and have shown to be clear.

All staff working at the East of England Arena will be wearing face masks/coverings at all times (unless exempt).

We hope that these measures will mean that we can all attend the events in the run-up to Christmas without being too much of an imposition on your enjoyment.

Many thanks for your cooperation, the East of England Arena Team
