Three motorcycles lined up at MCN festival at the East of England Arena

The East of England Arena and Events Centre welcomed over 15,000 motorcycle enthusiasts to The Devitt MCN Festival of Motorcycling for a weekend of clear skies and racing action on May 14-15, 2022.

The event was the perfect start to the summer for many motorcycle fans, with visitors enjoying a variety of live entertainment, ranging from stunt displays, races, and live music. Visitors were also able to prepare for the 2022 bike season with a wide variety of bikes on display, including new debuts from Yamaha, and both fleet and individual test rides to see them in action.

Silverstone Auctions proved to be a great addition to the festival’s lineup, with the auction house raising an outstanding combined total of £665,000 at its first Classic Motorcycle Auction at the event in 45 years. Highlights included a 1990 Honda VFR750R RC30, previously featured in the David Silver Honda Collection, that sold for a UK record-setting £62,250.

Caitlin Beebe, events manager at the East of England Arena, celebrated the event, saying “The Devitt MCN Festival of Motorcycling brought another exciting lineup to the venue this year, with the bonus of the sun being out in full force!”
