The Devitt MCN Festival is back and better than everThe Devitt MCN Festival of Motorcycling is returning to the East of England Arena this September 4-5 with a huge lineup of entertainment, bargains, live music, test rides, live action and so much more. It’s the best bike show the UK has to offer so you’d be crazy to miss it.

Moped Mayhem
The madcap endurance race that was the highlight of the old BMF shows in the 1980s and 90s is making its long awaited comeback at the Festival. Known for its wild racing, huge grid, eclectic machines and raucous paddock atmosphere, it doesn’t get more grass roots than Moped Mayhem!

2021 test rides
The Festival is the only place in the UK where you can ride the latest 2021 bikes from all the major manufacturers all in the same place. There are hundreds of test ride slots all up for grabs from cruisers to sportsbikes to learner friendly machines. No pre booking is necessary, just bring your lid and licence and sign up on the day.

Dirt track racing
The Dirt Track Riders Association will be holding a packed round of proper racing at the Festival. One of the most exciting (and coolest) race series in the UK, races include everything from junior (7-11 year olds), the dramatic Hooligan class and, new for this year, a race for electric bikes.

Extreme Bike battle stunt show
Combining BMX, Trials and a high flying FMX show, Extreme Bike Battle is one of the most thrilling stunt shows in the UK. From inch perfect trials and BMX tricks to the incredible aerial displays of the FMX riders, the Extreme Bike Battle is a demonstration of supreme bike control.

Stunts Galore
The supremely talented Two Brothers and JD Stunts will be thrilling the crowds in the stunt zone with their high speed shows packed with world class adrenaline fuelled riding skills.

Kit bargains
If it’s bargains you’re after then the Festival is the place to be. We’ve got acres of retail stands selling everything from discounted clothing to top notch gear from premier brands.

Classic two stroke display
Yamaha’s beloved RD LC was forty years old in 2020 and we’re creating an extra special belated birthday party at the Festival with a two-stroke display, fire ups and stage talks. Plus, register to turn up on a two-stroke over 125cc to be able to park in the VIP bike park, Elsie’s Shed. Register your two-stroke at www.mcnfestival.com

Autojumble
Looking for an elusive part to finally finish that project bike? You’re in luck. The autojumble is back for this year and there will be project bikes and spares for machines of all sizes and ages.

British Mini Bikes
One of the most vibrant and exciting race series in the UK, the British Mini Bike championship will be showcasing demonstration laps at the Festival. With riders competing from just seven years old the skill is jaw dropping and inspirational in equal measure.

By Rail

Peterborough is located on the East Coast Main line running from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh. A number of fast trains run on this network, making London accessible in 45 minutes on specific trains.

The station has its own taxi rank, which means reaching the East of England Arena is approximately 15 minutes away once the train has arrived in the station.

By Car

Arriving by car, you will be guided to one of our hard standing or grassed free parking areas. There are 22,000 spaces – so plenty of room for everyone. We also have plenty of disabled parking bays.

Travelling from Peterborough City Centre – take the Nene Parkway/A1260, follow directions to Oundle Road/A605 and turn right onto this road, which will lead you directly to the venue. The brown highway signs indicating East of England Arena/Showground will help to guide you. The journey is approximately 16 minutes from the centre of Peterborough.

Travelling from the A1(M) South – continue along the A1(M), passing the Peterborough Services (Extra MSA); continue forward onto the A1 and then take the next turn left, signposted East of England Arena/Showground. At the junction with the A605, turn left and travel half a mile. At the roundabout, turn right, and you have arrived at the East of England Arena.

Travelling from the A1(M) North – ignore the very first signpost for Peterborough and continue travelling along the A1 picking up the brown highways signposts indicating East of England Arena/Showground. Follow these signs and leave the A1 at Alwalton, taking you through the village and onto the A605 Oundle Road junction. Turn left at this junction and at the very next roundabout, turn right and you’ve arrived at Peterborough Arena. If you are in a heavy vehicle, or towing a trailer, we advise you to avoid driving through Alwalton. In this case continue on the A1, leaving at Junction 17. Turn left onto Fletton Parkway A1139. After half a mile exit onto the Orton Parkway (still A1139) taking the second exit at the roundabout. Continue on Orton Parkway at the next roundabout. After half a mile turn left onto Oundle Road where you will find the entrance of the Arena on your left after 600m.

By Public Transport

Peterborough City Centre has a number of taxi ranks, as well as a coach park and bus station located within the Queensgate Centre. The Stagecoach bus service runs a half-hourly service during the week and two-hourly Sunday service, stopping just outside the East of England Arena. The bus number to look for is X4 leaving Bay 15 at Queensgate, Peterborough.

The bus stop is located at the Marriott Hotel, Lynchwood.  A  fifteen minute walk will bring you to our main entrance gate.

By Air

East of England Arena’s location makes it central for London Stansted, London Luton, East Midlands and Birmingham airports – all four are approximately 60-90 minutes away by car.
